My concept for how to capture creative and digital sheffield:
I will capture a collection of photo all showing different aspects of sheffield. These will deliberately contrast, having advanced areas shown against the older areas. The images will then be dissected. One half of each photo will be of a well built, technologically advanced area of Sheffield. The other half of each photo will be a greyscale image of a more run down or industrial are of the City.
This contrast should be good for showing how much sheffield can change depending on the area you are in. This will require double the amount of photographs required, as each one will be half of a whole image edited on photoshop.
Otherwise, I will do the same thing, colour, wide angle shots to show how advanced some areas of the city are, and the greyscale photos will still be used to show the older side of the City. These will then be shown alternating between greyscale and colour images.
Ideas for colour images:
1. The fountain/ Peace gardens
2. The orb fountains outside the winter gardens and the winter gardens themselves
3. Millenium Galleries
4. The Crucible
5. Fargate/ High street
Ideas for greyscale images:
1. The Court room
2. Buildings near the river/ old industrial quarter (Kelham island)
3. The site of the Tinselly towers
4. Totley
5. Bus stop
